Here are links to books that we’re discussing in the panel “Some Orcs Just Want To Make Coffee: Cozy SF/F/H”, Friday at 8 p.m. at ArmadilloCon.
Joining me on the panel are Avery Parks, Dantzel Cherry, and Elle van Hensbergen.
We’re planning to discuss four books and in what ways they represent cozy speculative fiction.
1. Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree

An orc puts down her adventurer’s sword and opens a coffeeshop.
2. The House in the Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune

A mid-level bureaucrat discovers more than he bargains for when he investigates an orphanage for unusual children on a remote island.
3. The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

One adventurous young explorer who discovers the meaning of family in the far reaches of the universe.
4. The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison

An inexperienced ruler must discover who murdered his father and brothers.
These four books are just a starting place. I’m sure participants will bring up many more titles during the discussion!
